President Donald Trump is touting an upcoming announcement as one of the biggest in the “history of the country.”

On Monday afternoon, Trump, along with Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Dr. Mehmet Oz, administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, is expected to announce that using Tylenol during pregnancy could be linked to autism in children, according to Politico and The Washington Post.

“I think you’re going to find it to be amazing,” Trump said memorial rally for Charlie Kirk in Glendale, Arizona, Sunday, per USA Today. “I think we found an answer to autism.”

Kenvue, which owns Tylenol said in a statement the active ingredient “acetaminophen does not cause autism.”

Trump will make the announcement at 4 p.m.

The announcement is expected to include using leucovorin as a potential treatment for autism, the Washington Post reported.

Leucovorin is normally used to counteract the side effects of some medications and to treat vitamin B9 deficiency.

Autism spectrum disorder is diagnosed based on issues with social skills, communication and repetitive behaviors, USA Today reported.

The spectrum ranges people unable to communicate at all and others who are highly successful.

By 2020, the U.S. autism rate in 8-year-olds was 1 in 36, up from 0.66% in 2000, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Research hasn’t brought any definitive answers on what causes autism. Some scientists say genetics play a role, potentially in combination with environmental influences.

Kennedy has said the country has an “autism epidemic” fueled by “environmental toxins.”
