The writers at “Saturday Night Live” (SNL) appear to have realized there is more in this world to make fun of than just former President Donald Trump and Republicans.

In the past two weeks, President Joe Biden has unfortunately given comedians a gold mine to work with. He asked where a dead Congresswoman was and then appeared to forget how to count.

During an event on Friday, the president declared, “Let me start off with two words: Made in America.”

SNL’s Colin Jost took aim at the moment during the show’s “Weekend Update.”

“This week, President Biden pardoned thousands of convicted marijuana users. And it feels like maybe he celebrated with them a little because yesterday, Biden gave a speech at a car factory, and he opened with this,” Jost said before playing the clip of the gaffe.

He went on, “Wow. Well, let me respond with two words: Jesus H. Christ.”

Watch the video below:

Jost then ventured into somewhat of a taboo subject: Biden’s mental state.

He joked:

“Biden was then heard criticizing reporters at the White House for shouting questions at him. Questions like, ‘What year is it?’ and ‘Who’s the current president?'”

He added, “Also, they weren’t reporters. They were doctors.”

It is sad that Biden has incidents where he seems confused and is incoherent. We should all want presidents to be sharp and not have to worry about their mental state.

But if we’re being honest, it was the refusal by comedians and reporters to honestly look at Biden and say, “Something doesn’t seem right, and we shouldn’t be afraid to ask the questions his campaign does not want us to, because he could be in charge of preventing a nuclear war one day.”

Instead, questions about his health and mental state were brushed off as right-wing propaganda fueled by manipulated clips shared on Twitter.

But it seems comedians and journalists may finally be realizing Biden is not some god-king who can never be questioned.

And perhaps with that door opened, Biden can be spared from making the poor decision of deciding to run again, and America won’t have to worry about whether the president knows where or when he is.
