Eric Trump Calls WH Ballroom ‘Most Incredible Gift’

WASHINGTON, DC - OCTOBER 22: The facade of the East Wing of the White House is demolished by work crews on October 22, 2025 in Washington, DC. The demolition is part of U.S. President Donald Trump's plan to build a ballroom reportedly costing $250 million on the eastern side of the White House. (Photo by Andrew Harnik/Getty Images)

One of President Donald Trump’s sons went on the record about the ballroom currently under construction am the White House.

Eric Trump told Newsmax earlier this week that the ballroom is the “most incredible gift” from his father and not a pay-for-play operation that House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) alleges.

“He forgets about the fact that my father self-funded his first campaign,” Eric Trump said of Jeffries. “He forgets about the fact that my father donates his salary to charitable causes — the first president to ever do that. … This is going to be the most incredible gift that Donald Trump can give the United States.”

Eric Trump is author of the New York Times No. 1 bestseller “Under Siege.”

He spoke on “Finnerty” the ballroom is being financed through private donations. Now, the president’s intentions are being misconstrued for political gain.

The president’s son claims the ballroom will pay for itself in no time.

“From a security standpoint, this thing will actually pay for itself many times over,” he said. “Every time they have to put up a tent or go off-site, it’s expensive to move the president. Keeping it right there at the people’s house is the right thing to do.”

He added the East Wing was “totally underutilized.”

Should the ballroom construction at the White House be investigated for potential influence from donations?

The new hall would feature “vaulted windows, stone columns, chandeliers, marble work, and ornate plaster molding,” he said, adding it will be “one of the most spectacular ballrooms ever built in the world.”

Jeffries called out the president for “running the largest pay-to-play scheme in the history of the country.”

He continued, stating the donations for the $250 million project might be coming from people seeking influence.

Jeffries said it is “highly doubtful” the project is legal and it should be investigated.

Eric Trump, however, said the president’s record speaks for itself.

“No one else could pull off what Donald Trump is doing,” he said.
