The group behind the “No Kings” movement says it is preparing another round of nationwide protests next month, timed to coincide with President Donald Trump’s 80th birthday on June 14.

The demonstrations will take place in cities across the country and are expected to include a high-profile event in New York City featuring a 90-minute concert called “Rise Up, Sing Out.” Organizers say the concert will feature performances from several well-known artists, including Bette Midler and Patti Smith. The event is being sponsored by Jane Fonda’s Committee for the First Amendment.

The planned demonstrations mark the latest chapter in a series of protests organized by the movement since Trump returned to office last year. According to organizers, there have already been three nationwide rounds of “No Kings” protests. One of the most notable occurred on Trump’s 79th birthday and coincided with the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary parade in Washington, D.C.

On its website, the movement framed the upcoming protests as part of a broader effort to encourage civic engagement and opposition to what organizers describe as authoritarian politics.

“The next 250 starts with us,” the group said in a statement announcing the June events. “As America approaches its anniversary about what story we tell, we can let strongman politics and corruption define the moment, or we can make the story of America about people coming together — across race, background, identity, belief, and community — to defend our rights and build a future rooted in people’s power.”

Should protests coincide with Trump's 80th birthday in June?

The statement continued: “On June 14, we rise up, we sing out, and we keep organizing.”

Organizers have not yet released full attendance estimates for the upcoming demonstrations, though previous events have drawn participants in multiple states. The movement has focused its messaging on concerns about executive power, government accountability, and what supporters describe as threats to democratic institutions.

The June 14 protests are expected to draw additional attention because they will occur on the same day as a planned Ultimate Fighting Championship event at the White House. The UFC event has generated significant public interest and is expected to attract prominent political and entertainment figures.

With both events scheduled for the same day, June 14 is shaping up to be a highly visible moment for supporters and critics of the president alike. Protest organizers say they plan to continue mobilizing supporters throughout the summer, while the White House has not publicly commented on the latest round of “No Kings” demonstrations.
