At least 28 people were injured when a car plowed into a crowd in what officials are referring to as a “suspected attack” in Munich, Germany.

The incident happened Thursday and left some victims, including children, critically injured, Fox News reported.

The suspect was identified by police as a 24-year-old Afghan asylum seeker, while Bavarian Prime Minister Markus Söder called the crash a “suspected attack,” BBC reported

Trey Yingst from Fox News reported from the scene and posted a video on X of a man limping alongside paramedics.

Munich police are seeking information from witnesses who may have taken a video of the incident.

Many world leaders, including Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, will meet about a mile away for the Munich Security Conference (MSC) on Friday, per Reuters.

Although President Donald Trump would like the war between Russia and Ukraine come to an end, a European official has said to Fox News an end to the war is aways off.

“Munich is too soon to unveil a Ukraine peace plan,” the official said. “The negotiations between the principals – Trump, Zelenskyy, Putin – will be tough. All options to end the killing are on the table – the course of action will be Trump’s call. There’s still plenty of room to ramp up sanctions.”

The MSC wrote on its X page it was “deeply saddened to learn that a tragic incident occurred this morning in the Munich city center… Our thoughts are with the victims and their families.”

We were deeply saddened to learn that a tragic incident occurred this morning in the #Munich city center in which a vehicle drove into a crowd of people. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families. The emergency services are at the scene and an investigation is underway…
