To say Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has been controversial since becoming secretary of health and human services would be an understatement.

But love him or hate him, Kennedy still scored high in a poll of about 2,204 registered voters in the United States, who were asked how they viewed political figures. The question was part of a Harvard-Harris poll conducted between Dec. 2-4, per Mediaite

According to the poll, others who fared well in the poll include Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Vice President JD Vance, both Republicans, and California Governor Gavin Newsom (D).

The numbers for Kennedy tipped the scale in his favor with 43% viewing him favorably and 40% viewing him unfavorably.

Vance’s numbers were even with 40% favorable and 40% unfavorable.

Trump’s numbers were higher on the unfavorable side at 49%.  His favorability rating was 45%.

Kennedy has been a controversial figure since becoming secretary, especially with his anti-vaccine stance.

Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-La.), a licensed physician, criticized Kennedy’s declaration that vaccines are linked to autism, calling the view, “fringe.”

“Let me say what is most important to the American people, speaking as a physician, vaccines are safe,” Cassidy told CNN’s Jake Tapper.

“As has been pointed out, it’s actually not disputed. It’s actually quite well proven that vaccines are not associated with autism. There’s a fringe out there that thinks so, but they’re quite a fringe,” he added.
