Sean “Diddy” Combs is expected to get out of federal prison a little sooner than expected.
The rap music mogul, who is serving a 50-month federal prison sentence, is are New Jersey’s FCI Fort Dix.
A jury found him guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution in a federal case last July.
Combs was originally to be released April 25, 2028; he is now set to be released Feb. 23, 2028. Combs was previously set to be freed on April 25, 2028.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons did not provide a reason for the change. It did say it does “not discuss the conditions of confinement for any individual, including release plans.”
The bureau gave general reasons a release date would be moved up. This includes “good conduct time,” time credits from approved programs and activities and credit for time served before sentencing.
A change in release date is nothing new for Combs.
His release date has been changed at least twice in the last few months.
A change to his release date in November was pushed back to June 2028, days after Combs’ representative denied a report that claimed the Bad Boy Records founder had created and consumed alcohol in prison.
His legal team is still trying to appeal his conviction.
Combs was convicted on charges related to the transportation of two former girlfriends – Casandra “Cassie” Ventura Fine and the anonymous “Jane” – as well as sex workers for the intent of prostitution.
Combs has denied all allegations of sexual misconduct.
He still faces about 70 civil lawsuits , including one most recently filed on June 9, from a former child actor.
