Pritzker’s Political Circus: Blame Trump, Ignore Reality

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS - MARCH 17: Illinois Governor JB Pritzker celebrates the primary win of Illinois Democratic Senate candidate Lt. Governor Juliana Stratton during a primary night event on March 17, 2026 in Chicago, Illinois. Stratton is hoping to replace Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) who is retiring at the end of his term. Isn’t it just rich that Illinois Governor JB Pritzker is channeling his inner magician and making accountability disappear? In the tragic case of Sheridan Gorman’s murder by an alleged criminal illegal alien, Pritzker sees a golden opportunity to score political points instead of addressing the blatant failures of his own state and the administration of his own party.

Let’s recap: the suspect in question, a Venezuelan national, was released not once but twice under the Biden administration. So, if we’re connecting dots, they seem to lead straight to Pritzker’s backyard, where sanctuary policies are in full swing. But rather than face the music, he casts a spell that somehow ties this tragedy back to Trump, as if that’s going to get the cat out of the bag.

Should Pritzker take responsibility for crime linked to his policies?

Pritzker’s insistence on framing this as a “national failure” is a classic case of deflecting the blame while the storm brews right over his head. He wants to claim that real reform is needed, but conveniently overlooks that the chaos reigning in cities like Chicago stems directly from his own sanctuary policies. How wonderful it must be to live in a world where you can ignore the consequences of your choices and still point fingers without breaking a sweat.

Ultimately, Pritzker’s rhetoric doesn’t help the victims or address the larger issues of crime and immigration; it just shows how desperate some politicians are to shift the narrative. While he’s busy spinning tales of “the worst of the worst,” perhaps he should look a little closer to home for the actual “failure” in this story.
