In a spectacular twist that would make even the most eccentric soap opera writer blush, left-wing streamer Hasan Piker has thrown his support behind Maine Governor Janet Mills in the Democratic Senate primary, shunning the tattooed Graham Platner, who, let’s just say, has some rather questionable ink.

Meanwhile, Piker has previously found himself embroiled in controversies over alleged antisemitic remarks, proving that in the ever-charming world of progressivism, checking for tattoos might be as essential as assessing ideology.

Piker, who seemingly takes great pride in his leftist credentials, deflected attention from his own messy past by labeling Platner’s tattoo as a red flag. Perhaps it’s more of a branding cue for Progressives: Shouldn’t the party be more concerned with policies than past military service—or at least think twice before getting ink that evokes a history lesson?

Should the Democratic Party focus more on policies than appearances in candidate selections?

In the backdrop, we have the figure of Janet Mills, adorned with her “Mills mafia” moniker while schooling President Donald Trump on women’s sports. It’s hard not to chuckle at how a Democratic governor can be considered a voice of reason in a primary battle against someone who supposedly embodies extreme leftism. It feels like watching a toddler learn to wield a crayon, duly illustrating the inner conflicts of a party that can’t decide if they want to traverse the mainstream or chase that far-left rabbit down its proverbial hole.

So here we are, surrounded by all the excitement of reckless endorsements, incendiary tattoos, and the tantalizing possibility of a dull Senate race spiraling into a circus act. If it weren’t so serious, it might actually be entertaining! But as the Democrats strut around, we’re left to ponder: Is this the best they have to offer? Perhaps they should consider trading their tattoos for a more sustainable platform, or at minimum, a better PR agency.
