President Donald Trump is getting ready for Independence Day by planning “most spectacular TRUMP RALLY”in Washington, D.C.
The event will take place the day the U.S. celebrates its 250th birthday.
“On July 4th, at The Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument, in beautiful and safe Washington D.C., we are going to host the most spectacular TRUMP RALLY of them all, a ‘TRIBUTE TO AMERICA,’” Trump posted on Truth Social Monday.
“Starting at 7 P.M. EST, this HUGE Celebration will honor our Country’s People, Spirit, Strength, Resolve, and Triumphs,” he continued.
Trump added “more than 300 Members of our strong and talented Military Bands, Orchestras, and Ceremonial Units, will perform Patriotic Melodies and American Classics, and my Playlist.”
The rally is expected to include military flyovers and airshows, according to Trump.
The event ending with “the LARGEST FIREWORKS SHOW IN HISTORY,” he added.
“See you on JULY 4th in Washington, D.C.,” Trump said at the end of this post.
Last month, the White House unveiled a slate of celebrations to mark the U.S.’s 250th birthday, including a record-breaking fireworks show on Independence Day.
Axios previously reported that Freedom 250, the White House commission behind the events, was working with fireworks firm Pyrotecnico in an effort to break a Guinness World Record for “largest firework display.”
Earlier this month, Trump announced a rally in D.C. to commemorate the country’s 250th anniversary. The announcement was made after seversl artists dropped out of prior plans to perform at the upcoming “Great American State Fair” on the National Mall.
On Sunday night, a UFC fight night occurred steps from the White House, with Trump attending on his 80th birthday.
The event mixed politics and business and started with a live shot of Trump and UFC chief executive Dana White walking out of the Oval Office.
Trump also said in a separate Truth Social post on Monday next Wednesday “will be the ‘kick off’ of our summer long Celebration of 250 Years of American Independence!”
That event is set to include performances from military bands and country singer Lee Greenwood as well as military flyovers.
