As many start the new year contemplating upping their exercise routine, the same does not hold true for President Donald Trump.

“I just don’t like it. It’s boring,” Trump said about exercising. “To walk on a treadmill or run on a treadmill for hours and hours like some people do, that’s not for me,” Mediaite reported.

Trump talked with “The Wall Street Journal” about his age and health.

The president, 79, slammed critics who question his stamina and called traditional exercise “boring.”

Trump is “showing signs of aging in public and private, according to people close to him,” according to the report.

Trump dismissed that assessment, saying his health is fine and he boasts “good genetics.”

“Let’s talk about health again for the 25th time,” Trump said. “My health is perfect.”

The president takes a daily dose of aspirin (325 milligrams) that his doctors have said he could lower.

“They say aspirin is good for thinning out the blood, and I don’t want thick blood pouring through my heart,” he said. “I want nice, thin blood pouring through my heart. Does that make sense?”

Trump also addressed the perception he falls asleep during White House meetings. Bruises are visible on his hands, too.

He said the bruising is caused by his daily dosage of aspirin. He also he also was adamant he does not fall asleep in meetings — reporters catch him “blinking.”

“I’ll just close. It’s very relaxing to me,” he said. “Sometimes they’ll take a picture of me blinking, blinking, and they’ll catch me with the blink.”

His hearing issues — or lack thereof — was made clear when he was questioned.

“I can’t hear you. I can’t hear you. I can’t hear a word you’re saying,” Trump sarcastically told WSJ.

He said he has trouble “when there’s a lot of people talking” at once.

Trump added his parents were energetic later in life.

He said he can function on little sleep because “I’ve never been a big sleeper” and “good genetics.”

“Genetics are very important,” Trump said. “And I have good genetics.”
