Late-night host Stephen Colbert did not mince words in his response to President Donald Trump’s claim that Chicago was the “worst and most dangerous city in the world.”

Trump made his claim in social media Tuesday morning.

“At least 54 people were shot in Chicago over the weekend, 8 people were killed. The last two weekends were similar. Chicago is the worst and most dangerous city in the World, by far. Pritzker needs help badly, he just doesn’t know it yet,” Trump wrote. “I will solve the crime problem fast, just like I did in DC. Chicago will be safe again, and soon. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

Colbert responded during his monologue Wednesday night, per Fox News.

“Yesterday, Donald Trump made a hard right onto the fascism freeway, announcing that he will deploy National Guard troops to Chicago,” Colbert said.

Trump hinted he would send National Guard troops into Chicago.

“Worst and most dangerous?” Colbert said. “Two words: ‘F— you!’”

Trump also referred to Chicago as the “murder capital” of the world.

“Trump slandered on: ‘Chicago is the murder capital of the world!’ Fun fact: no. According to the FBI, 22 major cities have higher rates of murder than Chicago – one of them being Birmingham, Alabama,” Colbert said.

Colbert went on to laud the Windy City as well as its residents.

“This is a scary time for the people of Chicago. And I love the people of Chicago. I used to be a people of Chicago. In fact, I lived there 11 years,” Colbert said. “Started my career there. We took our show to Chicago last summer, had an amazing time. But come to think of it, you know what? A lot of us did come home murdered.”

This was not the first time Colbert had strong words for the president.

He told Trump to “go f*** yourself” after the president reveled in the cancellation of the Colbert’s show.

“How dare you, sir?” Colbert said. “Would an untalented man be able to compose the following satirical witticism? Go f*** yourself.”
