The saga surrounding South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem’s (R) revelation she put her dog, Cricket, down is not going away.

During an interview on CBS News’ “Face The Nation” Sunday, host Margaret Brennan noted that at the end of the governor’s forthcoming book “No Going Back” she implies she would also put President Joe Biden’s dog, Commander, down.

“At the end of the book, you say the very first thing you would do — if you got to the White House — that was different from Joe Biden, is you’d make sure Joe Biden’s dog was nowhere on the grounds, ‘Commander say hello to Cricket,'” Brennan said.

She asked, “Are you doing this to try to look tough? Do you think that you still have a shot at being VP?”

Noem responded, “Well, Number One, Joe Biden’s dog has attacked 24 Secret Service people. So how many people is enough people to be attacked and dangerously hurt before you make a decision on a dog?”

Brennan interjected to point out Commander is not at the White House.

Commander was kicked out of the White House after at least 24 biting incidents.

However, Noem pressed on, “That’s a question that the president should be held accountable to…. what is the number?”

Brennan asked about Commander, “You’re saying he should be shot?”
