Longtime Democratic political strategist James Carville insists people should “move on” from trying to argue with those who believe the 2020 presidential election was stolen.

During an appearance on MSNBC on Thursday night, Carville said, “There’s 30% of the people in this country that don’t believe in evolution. We still have geology departments, we still have medical schools.”

“These people that believe this are just chronically stupid. We just have to quit paying attention to them and move on,” he continued. “We can’t be tied down by these idiots. We got to get going.”

Finally, he added, “How many times you gotta tell people the earth is round? It just is, and if you don’t believe it, okay, fine, there’s no need to argue anymore. It’s just a waste of time. It’s a waste of breath.”

Carville’s comments come after the House held a hearing on a controversial review on the presidential election results in Arizona’s Maricopa County.

During the hearing, Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) insisted that the results of the election are unknown after the company Cyber Ninjas concluded that Biden won the state, add found more votes for him.

On Thursday, Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) asked Biggs, “Do you accept this audit which shows that Joe Biden won and indeed by more votes…”

“That is not what the audit concluded, Mr. Raskin, you know better than that. Have you read the whole audit?” Biggs responded.

As he went on to argue that the review did not actually say Biden won, Raskin asked, “Who won the election in Arizona, Donald Trump, or Joe Biden?”

“We don’t know,” Biggs answered. “Because as the audit demonstrates very clearly, Mr. Raskin, there are a lot of issues with this election that took place. We’re going to go through those today.”

The review of the election results in Arizona’s Maricopa County, the state’s most populous county, conducted by the company Cyber Ninjas found 99 additional votes for President Joe Biden and actually found 261 fewer votes for former President Donald Trump.
