A White House spokesman is facing questions about whether officials have kept information from President Joe Biden due to concerns he might not “process it” properly.

During a press briefing on Monday, CBS News’ Ed O’Keefe asked about a meeting the president had with Democratic governors, in which he expressed a desire to limit the number of events he does that take place after 8 p.m. “just because he’d rather focus on resting.”

“In your understanding of things, does the National Security Council ever [withhold] information from him that he should’ve known late at night out of concern he might not be able to process it?”

White House National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby responded, “No.”

Watch the video below:

REPORTER: Biden admitted he likes to "curtail events that begin after 8 PM" because he'd rather rest. Has the NSC ever withheld information from the president late at night because you're worried he can't "process it"?

The question centers around Biden’s meeting with governors last week amid concerns about his health following a disastrous debate performance.

The New York Times also reported current and former officials “have noticed that the president’s lapses over the past few months have become more frequent and more pronounced.”

During the meeting, Biden told the governors that his health was fine.

However, he added that he needed to sleep more and work less after 8 p.m.
