Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) is blasting President Joe Biden for his comments on Georgia’s new election law.

Graham was asked by host Chris Wallace during an appearance on “Fox News Sunday” if state Republicans are “going too far” in their measures to restrict access to voting.

“You know what’s sick is [to] have the president of the United States to play the race card continuously in such a hypocritical way,” Graham said.

He continued, “He said the filibuster was a relic of the Jim Crow era. Well, he made an hour speech when he was a senator suggesting the filibuster was the best thing for the Senate to make it different in the House.”

“Every time a Republican does anything, we’re a racist. If you’re a white conservative, you’re a racist. If you’re a black Republican, you are either prop or uncle Tom. They use the racism card to advance a liberal agenda and we’re tired of it. HR 1 is sick, not what they’re doing in Georgia,” he added.

Graham’s comments come after Georgia passed a controversial new election law that Biden described as “Jim Crow in the 21st Century.”

The new law expands weekend voting but limits the deadline for voters to request absentee ballots, requires voters to show a driver’s license or other state ID card to request an absentee ballot, limits the use of ballot drop boxes, and makes it a misdemeanor to hand out “any money or gifts, including, but not limited to, food and drink” to people standing in line to vote.

Republicans initially sought to limit weekend voting, when Black churches engage in “souls to the polls” efforts to take congregants to vote. However, they extended weekend early voting to two Saturdays and allowed counties to offer early voting on two Sundays.

On Friday, Biden said the Department of Justice is “taking a look” at the new law.
