CNN’s Chris Cuomo left his basement and climbed the stairs to greet his family after publicly declaring an end to his quarantine.
“This is what I’ve been dreaming of literally for weeks,” Cuomo said. “My wife, she was cleared by the CDC. She doesn’t have fever, she doesn’t have the symptoms anymore more than seven days from her quarantine.”
The end to Cuomo’s quarantine comes almost a month after he announced his diagnosis in a tweet, as IJR previously reported.
He explained how he has enjoyed returning to the normalcy of everyday life.

“This is the dream,” Cuomo said. “Just to be back up here doing normal things.”
He noted his coronavirus diagnoses has had an impact on his family and how they will need to recover from this trauma they have endured.
Cuomo opened up about the symptoms he had been experiencing throughout his battle with the coronavirus, as IJR previously reported.
Some of his symptoms included a prolonged fever and hallucinations.
He reportedly received backlash after he traveled from his home in Southampton, New York to another home in East Hampton.
A man confronted him for being out in public amid his coronavirus diagnosis and filed a police report after he felt threatened by Cuomo.
Cuomo commented on the exchange during his radio show.
“I want to be able to tell you to go to hell, to shut your mouth,” Cuomo said. “I don’t want some jackass, loser, fat-tire biker being able to pull over and get in my space and talk bull**** to me, I don’t want to hear it.”
He went on to reiterate how he feels very lucky to have come out on the other side of this.
“Today, I’m a lucky guy, was even luckier than ever,” Cuomo said. “This was a day I’ve dreamed about literally for weeks.”
